A friendly face builds trust. You can put the inspector's photo into your emails automatically, so each client sees the inspector assigned to their order, and you can add your own images, like a logo or headshot, to an email container.
Step 1: Add a photo to the user's profile
The inspector photo comes from the user's profile in ISN.
Go to Admin > User Administration and select the user by clicking the pencil icon to the left of their username.
On the Profile tab, find Photo & signature.
Under Photo, select Upload photo and choose a PNG or JPEG file.
Select Save User.
On a brand-new user, Photo & signature appears after you save the user for the first time.
Step 2: Add the inspector photo to a template
Go to Email > Email Templates and edit the template.
Click in the email body where the photo should go.
Select Insert Replacement Value and search for inspector photo.
Choose the size you want (see below).
Select Save Template.
When the email is sent, ISN swaps in the photo of the order's primary inspector.
Inspector photo replacement values
%inspectorphoto%: the photo, up to 80 pixels wide.
%inspectorphoto50%, %inspectorphoto75%, %inspectorphoto100%, %inspectorphoto125%, %inspectorphoto150%, %inspectorphoto175%, %inspectorphoto200%, %inspectorphoto225%: the photo at that width in pixels.
%inspectorphotourl%: just the web address of the photo, for advanced HTML.
For a second or third inspector on the order, add the inspector's number, for example %inspector2photo% or %inspector3photo100%. Numbers 2 to 9 work.
If the inspector has no photo on their profile, a generic placeholder image appears instead. Add a photo for every inspector before you use these values.
Add your own image to a container
To show the same image on every email, such as your logo or a team photo, upload it to your email container.
Go to Email > Email Containers and select the Edit (pencil) icon on the container.
Click in the container where the image should go.
Select Upload Image or File above the editor (or Upload on the toolbar) and choose the image.
The image appears where you clicked. Select Save Container.
To make the image clickable, for example to link your logo to your website, see Add Links to Email Templates and Containers. To add images to a single template instead, see Images, Files and Attachments in Email Templates.
