Email Containers and Template Labels

Set your default email container, move all templates to one container, and organize templates with labels.

An email container is the letterhead your emails are sent on, such as your logo, colors and footer. Labels help you group and find your email templates. You need the Owner Access privilege for everything in this article. Privileges are set on each user's page under Privileges.

Find your containers

  1. In the main menu, select Email.

  2. Select My Email Containers.

The Email Containers page lists your containers. Your office's default container shows an Office default badge. Select New Email Container to create a new one.

Set your office's default container

New email templates use the default container automatically.

  1. Next to the container, select the three-dot menu (More actions).

  2. Select Make office default.

  3. Select Make default to confirm. The previous default stops being the default.

Move every template to one container

To change the letterhead on all your templates at once:

  1. Next to the container you want, select the three-dot menu.

  2. Select Move all templates here.

  3. A confirmation asks Move every template to this container? Every email template in your office will start using this container, which changes how every email your office sends looks.

  4. Select Move all templates to confirm.

Choose the container for one template

  1. Go to Email > My Email Templates and open the template.

  2. In the Container field, choose a container. You can type to search the list.

  3. Select Save Template.

Create and edit template labels

  1. Go to Email > My Email Template Labels.

  2. Select New Label, enter a Name, and choose a Colour.

  3. Select Create Label.

To change a label, select its name or the Edit icon, make your changes, and select Save Label.

Label your templates

To label one template, open it, tick the labels you want in the Labels section, and select Save Template. You can also select Edit labels from the template's three-dot menu on the list.

To label several templates at once (Owner Access or Office Administrator privilege):

  1. On the Email Templates page, tick the templates.

  2. Select Edit labels.

  3. Tick a label to add it to every selected template, or untick it to remove it. Labels you leave alone stay as they are on each template.

  4. Select Save labels.

Filter templates by label

On the Email Templates page, use Filter by label to show only templates that carry the labels you choose.
