How to set up delivery of a report that ignores payment/signature status for a specific inspection type

Have you ever had the need to send a report to the client regardless if the order has been paid and/or signed? If so, you've come to the right place.

In this article we will show you how to set up a template and email event to help achieve this exact goal!

First, we will want to start by creating a new email template. Click here for more information on how to create.

(Note: We recommend creating a new template so you are able to manually send it in one off situations. If you edit an existing template, please ensure it's not associated with any other Email Events so reports don't accidentally get delivered without payment/signature.)

What is important to note is that we enable the below check box on whichever template is going to be used for the email event that we will cover next.

Template all set? You sure? Ok, lets continue...


Now, lets go and create an email event. More on that here if you are unfamiliar. What is important to note during this process is to ensure to:

1) Change the trigger of the event to "Date & Time of Inspection Completion."

2) Ensure that it is only valid for the inspection type you want this to be sent for. Remember, this is bypassing the payment and signature status, be careful!

Once you have that all set up, you are done. Great work! Be sure to save the event and most importantly turn on the event after it's created so it'll start going to work when you need it!

Note: Be sure you attach the report you want delivered to the client/agent as a public attachment, not as an order report. Once you have it uploaded as an attachment to the inspection order, click to complete the inspection as normal and choose the option "I have no report file (complete without)" in red. This will trigger your newly created event to send to the intended recipient ignoring the payment and signature status.
