This article shows you how to copy email templates, how to copy them to another office, and how to delete and restore them. You need the Owner Access privilege to manage email templates. Some actions also need the Office Administrator privilege, as noted below. Privileges are set on each user's page under Privileges.
Copy a template
Go to Email > My Email Templates.
Next to the template, select the three-dot menu (More actions).
Select Copy template.
The copy has the same name with (copy) added to the end. The list is sorted by name, so the copy appears right next to the original. Select its name to edit it.
A copy keeps the original's subject, email body and container. It does not keep:
the Attachments checkboxes (report, agreement, invoice, calendar file and public attachments)
files attached from My Files & Folders
labels
Open the copy and set these again if you need them.
Copy a template to another office
If you work in more than one office and have the Owner Access or Office Administrator privilege, you can copy a template into another office.
Next to the template, select the three-dot menu.
Select Copy to another office….
Next to each office you want, select Copy. Offices that already have this template show Already there.
Select Done.
The copy keeps the template's subject, body and attachments. Its email container is matched to one already in that office, or copied over with it.
Delete a template
Next to the template, select the three-dot menu.
Select Delete.
Select Delete template to confirm.
If an email event sends the template, the confirmation tells you how many. Those events stop sending it until you restore the template or point them at another one. The Used in email events column on the list shows which events send each template.
Delete several templates at once
Users with the Owner Access or Office Administrator privilege can delete several templates together.
Tick the box next to each template.
Select Delete selected.
Confirm to delete them.
Restore a deleted template
Deleted templates aren't gone for good. Users with the Office Administrator privilege can bring them back.
On the Email Templates page, select Deleted Templates.
Next to the template, select Restore. To restore several at once, tick them and select Restore selected.
Confirm to restore.
A restored template goes back on your list, and any email event still pointing at it starts sending it again.
