Overview
ISN web includes optional AI features that help you write faster, such as Enhance Order Notes with AI, and AI-assisted email event, and template drafts. To keep these features fast, reliable and available to everyone, each company has a usage allowance.
AI never saves anything on its own. You always see the result first and choose whether to keep it.
Note: This article covers AI features in ISN web only. AI features in the Report Writer, such as the AI Comment Helper and Defect Detector, are separate and are not affected by these limits.
How the limits work
Shared by your whole company. The allowance covers every office and every user in your company account, across all AI features in ISN web.
Daily limit. Resets every day at midnight UTC (evening in US time zones, for example 7:00 PM Central during daylight saving time and 6:00 PM Central otherwise).
Monthly limit. Resets on the 1st of each month (UTC).
Short per-minute limit. To keep things running smoothly, only a few AI requests can run at the same moment. If several people use AI at once, one of them may need to wait a few seconds and try again.
For typical use, these limits are far more than a company will need. Enhancing a normal order note uses only a tiny fraction of the daily allowance.
If AI is unavailable
If an AI request can't be completed, you'll see:
AI assistance is not available right now. Your note is unchanged.
Your work is never lost. Whatever you typed stays exactly as it was, and you can keep editing and save it normally.
Wait a minute and try again. Most of the time this clears up right away.
If it keeps happening all day, your company may have reached its daily limit. AI will be available again after the daily reset.
If it still doesn't work after the reset, or you think your company needs a higher limit, contact ISN Support.
Can my limit be changed?
Limits are set by ISN and can't be changed from your account settings. If your company regularly needs more AI usage, contact ISN Support and we'll review it with you.
Your data
ISN's AI features are powered by AI models from OpenAI and Anthropic.
Only what you ask AI to work on is sent. For example, when you enhance an order note, only the text in the note box is sent, not the rest of the order.
Not used to train AI models. Under both providers' business API terms, information sent through their APIs is not used to train their models.
Not kept by the provider for reuse. The providers may keep request data for up to 30 days for abuse and safety monitoring, then delete it.
ISN deletes AI results after 24 hours. ISN keeps the AI's suggested text for up to 24 hours, then deletes it. Your original text is not kept by the AI feature. Only what you choose to save (for example, a saved order note) stays in ISN, like any other note.
