ISN has recently released a brand new Fees page, which is available under Settings -- Office Settings --> Inspection and Fee Settings -- Fees, as always:
If you want to switch back to the original fees page, you can do so by clicking on the yellow button at the top right corner of the screen:
You can now access the calculators directly from the Fees page now! Just click on the View More button and select the calculator you want to go to:
We'll see how to work with this new page by adding, editing, and deleting fees.
Adding a new Fee
In order to create a new fee, click on the + Create New button at the top right order of the fee page:
The new fee will be displayed and marked in yellow on your screen. You can start editing it here:
Let's give the fee a name, a default value, and a description.
In the following example, I named the fee as New Test Fee, gave it a $150.00 value as the default and a proper description:
Next, let's review the attributes our fee may have.
Options. Check this article to know more about these.
Calculators. This is where we select the appropriate automatic calculators to be applied to the fee (remember that you can use the View More button at the top right corner of the page to go view/edit the calculator of your choice, as described above).
Taxes. You can select a tax to be applied to this fee from the Taxes listed. Once a tax is selected, ISN will automatically calculate the tax on the fee's total.
Once you're ready to save your changes, click on the save icon on the right:
You'll then see a confirmation screen, showing you the changes you just made to the fee. How cool is that!
To confirm, click on Confirm:
And that's it! You just created your fee.
It's worth noticing that the fee options will be marked in blue, and the calculators in red for easy view:
Edit a Fee
We have seen how a fee is added. Editing a fee is not that different, but, instead of using the + Add Fee button, we must locate the fee we want to edit and click on the pencil icon on the right:
We'll see the same edit options we saw when creating the fee, but this time in grey.
In this example, I added the option Primary Fee to the Standard Inspection Fee. Notice how the screen went from grey to yellow, indicating that we have just made a change to the fee:
You can track your changes to the fee before saving it by using the Review Changes button on the right top corner:
This will show you the changes you've made so far:
Be careful! Once you click on Confirm while on this page, the changes will be confirmed and saved! Use the Cancel button if you want to continue editing them instead. Let's click on the Save button:
In this particular case, since I selected the Primary Fee option, another fee stopped being the Primary Fee. That's why we'll see the two affected fees on the confirmation window:
Once the Confirm button is clicked, the changes will be saved.
Delete a Fee
Deleting a fee is pretty easy.
Locate the fee you'd like to delete, click on the three dots on the right, and select Delete. You'll be asked to Agree before deleting the fee.
Deleting Multiple Fees
On the same screen, you can use the checkboxes on the left to select multiple fees and, ultimately, the Delete button at the top right corner of the screen to delete the selected fees with one single click:
