In a significant update to the ISN mobile app, users can now leverage the offline mode feature for enhanced functionality, particularly when inspectors find themselves in remote areas with no internet access. This valuable addition empowers inspectors to utilize various features within the app, enabling them to seamlessly complete inspection reports using the built-in report writer.

Here's How it Works.

While in offline mode, the app will record actions performed within the app. When the device regains network connectivity, the app initiates the synchronization process, transmitting crucial information such as job progress in the report writer feature, creation of new orders, calendar events, and any changes made to existing orders.

Users will notice a green indicator labeled 'syncing' at the top center of the mobile app, signifying that the app is in the process of syncing.

Once the synchronization is complete, the indicator changes to 'sync,' indicating that the offline data is now up to date.

To facilitate this seamless process, the offline mode stores the recorded information locally on the device. This requires the app to have the necessary permissions for internal storage, allowing it to efficiently store data within the phone. When the application is in offline mode, you'll notice an indicator that displays 'Offline.'

With the new offline mode in the ISN mobile app, inspectors can now enjoy uninterrupted productivity even in areas with limited or no internet access, ensuring that crucial data is captured and seamlessly integrated once back online.

Please be aware that the offline mode will only be accessible if the biometrics login has been enabled from the ISN Mobile App side menu. For more details on setting up a biometrics login, please click HERE
