The template editor is a powerful tool that you can use to create templates that can be used in your Mobile Report Writer. Templates created in this tool can save you time by having pre-written text that can be used during an inspection.

The Template Editor can be found in Settings > Office Settings

Once you access the Office Settings please find the section "Inspection and Fee Settings" and select Inspection Template Editor.

Your Template Editor comes with pre-built templates but you can always create new templates that fit your business needs. Once you access the Template Editor please select the option "Add New"

That button will open a pop-up window that will be used to:

1.- Select if the template will be completely new or based on another template.

2.- Select the type of inspection that will be associated with this template.

3.- Enter the template title (for internal purposes only so you can identify the template).

4.- Enter the report title that will appear in the report. (Client-facing)

5.- Enter a description of the template in case you need to provide further details. This will be for internal purposes as well.

6.- Click on the Create button to save your preferences and to start building your template.

After you complete the fields in the pop-up windows you will see the following screen:

1.- The Category "Inspection Details" will always be there even if you create a new template from scratch. That will display the property details and other inspection information.

2.- The button "Set as default template" will be used to define what template will be the primary one.

3.- Ratings will be displayed in this section. There you can see the titles and colors that come by default. Some ratings have a flag icon in the colored box, which means it will be displayed in the summary. You can adjust the existing ratings or create new ones.

4.- If you need to adjust the title, color or flag of a rating please click on the Pencil icon.

5.-You can add a completely new rating in case you need more.

6.- If you are finished adjusting the template you can save and publish the report by clicking on this icon.

7.- You can create new categories by clicking on the "Add Category" button.

Having pre-written descriptions and comments can help you save time when you are creating the inspection report. First, you will need to access your office settings in ISN and open the template editor.

Once you open the template, you will have to find the category where you will be working.

1.- Please click on the "2 horizontal lines icon"

2.- Then, you will see all the items already created in that category.

Select the item you will be working on first and click on the 2 horizontal lines icon. Then find the item where you will apply the changes and find the "Description" section:

To add a description locate the 3 checkboxes. Each checkbox is a description. You can click on the "Edit List" button to change the description in each box.

If you don't need the 'Description' section within your template, you can remove it by clicking the right 'Three-dot-menu' and selecting 'Remove Form Element'

You can also remove the 'Location' section by following the same steps.

To add a comment:

1.- It's possible to add/edit content to an existing template.

2.- Or you can simply add a new comment.

If you select the option "Add New Comment" you will create a new empty comment. You will need to click on the Pencil icon to add a title.
