Please Note: this feature requires Premium SMS/MMS. For more information on how to upgrade to Premium SMS/MMS, click here.

On ISN, Individual image or video files are limited to 5mb in size.

These are the image file types supported:

  • jpeg

  • png

  • gif

For file types other than the ones mentioned above, the total file size limit for media attachments depends on the recipient's carrier. Here are the attachment size limitations for a Multi-Media Message (MMS) sent to the top 4 US-based carriers:

Carrier

Long code MM attachment size

Toll-free MMS attachment size

Short code MMS attachment size

AT&T

0.675 MB

0.6 MB

1.4 MB

T-Mobile

1.5 MB

0.6 MB

1.0 MB

Verizon

For other MMS-supported carriers, we recommend using attachments no larger than 600KB when sending files that are not jpeg, png, or gif images.

To send an image or video in MMS, click on the Attach Files button.

This will open a file browser on your device where you can navigate and select the image you want to include.

Double click the image or video (or select multiple to send) up to 5mb total and click on the ‘Open’ button.

The content will load below the sending bar in a Files area, where you can click the ‘x’ icon next to any items to remove them.

You can optionally enter text, or select a template if you haven’t yet, and then hit Send Message.
