Connect ISN to Claude or another AI assistant

Use the ISN connector to ask an AI assistant about your orders, clients, agents and reports in plain English.

You can connect your ISN account to an AI assistant like Claude. Then you can ask questions and get work done in plain English, for example "How many inspections did we do last month?", "Find John Smith's upcoming orders" or "Which agents sent us the most business this quarter?"

What you'll need

  • Your ISN company key. It's the part of your ISN web address right after the domain. If you sign in at inspectionsupport.com/acmeinspections/..., your company key is acmeinspections.

  • An AI assistant that supports custom connectors (remote MCP servers). One example is Claude.

Your connector address

https://inspectionsupport.com/YOUR-COMPANY-KEY/mcp

Replace YOUR-COMPANY-KEY with your company key.

Connect in Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.

  2. Name it ISN and paste your connector address.

  3. Click Connect. You'll be sent to ISN. Sign in with your normal ISN username and password.

  4. Check the permissions shown on the Authorize screen, then click Authorize.

That's it. You're back in Claude, and ISN shows as connected. Try asking: "What inspections do I have scheduled this week?"

Other assistants work the same way: add a custom or remote MCP connector with the address above, then sign in to ISN when it asks.

What the assistant can do

  • Look things up: orders, clients, agents, agencies, inspectors, services, packages, fees and availability.

  • Report: inspection counts and trends, revenue, inspector performance, and agent and agency performance and retention.

  • Make changes (if you allow it): create and update orders, clients, agents and agencies, and schedule orders.

Good to know

  • It only sees what you can see. The assistant uses your own ISN permissions. If you can't edit agents in ISN, it can't either.

  • Read-only is an option. If you approve read access only, the assistant can look things up but can't change anything.

  • Monthly limit. Each account includes 10,000 assistant requests per month, and the count resets on the 1st. If you need more, contact ISN Support.

  • Disconnecting. Remove the connector in your assistant's settings. If a user is disabled in ISN, their connection stops working within about 15 minutes.

Troubleshooting

  • "Not found" or it won't connect: check the company key in the address. Use only lowercase letters, numbers and dashes, and no trailing slash.

  • It asks you to sign in again: this is normal after a long gap. Sign in again and click Authorize.

  • "Usage cap reached": your account has used its monthly requests. It resets on the 1st, or contact Support to upgrade.
