How to Use the Inspector Flagging Feature

IA Guide to Simplifying Multi-Inspector Management

Inspector Flagging is a powerful tool designed for inspection companies with multiple inspectors assigned to an order. This feature provides a simple and effective way to assign responsibility for specific categories or line items within a report, streamlining multi-inspector workflows.

Key Benefits:

  • Category-Level Flags: Mark entire categories with a color-coded flag to indicate the responsible inspector.

  • Line-Level Roll-Up: Assign flags at the line level, which automatically roll up to the category level, showing all assigned colors if there are multiple assignments.

  • Customizable Assignments: Easily add new inspectors or teams to the list using the "Edit List" functionality.

  • Flexible Adjustments: Inspector assignments set at the template level can be modified on a report-by-report basis. The instructions can be found here:

How It Works:

  1. Assign at Category or Line Level: Use the Assign Color menu to flag responsibility.

  2. Automatic Roll-Up: Flags set at the line level are reflected at the category level, displaying all applicable colors for transparency.

  3. No Pre-Loaded Data: The Assign Color menu starts blank, requiring you to add assignments through the Edit List option.

  4. Template and Report Flexibility: Adjust template-level assignments for individual reports directly in the Web Report Writer to accommodate changing responsibilities.

Inspector Flagging simplifies the management of multi-inspector orders, ensuring clear and organized delegation of responsibilities while allowing flexibility to adapt to specific report needs.
