… can I have attachments in my mass email??

No, But…

Since you cannot send attachments directly through ISN’s Mass Email System, you can let us host the files you’d normally attach to your email for you. Then you can create a link to the files in your email template. This saves bandwidth, doesn’t bog down your agent and client email accounts, helps with delivery rates and it helps reduce the number of email bounces.

Why Can’t I Just Attach a File… this is crazy town?

There are a few reasons attaching files to mass emails is a bad idea:

  • First, a lot of providers block emails above a certain “size.” Attachments increase the size of your email thus raising the risk of your email getting blocked.

  • A lot of content and virus scanning programs see attachments sent through any mail service as a security threat. They either block the attachment or the email entirely. Therefore a majority of attachments will not arrive at your client or agent email inboxes.

  • Sending a copy of your file to each recipient (and handling the bounces for those emails that are blocked/rejected because of the attachments) would take a TON of bandwidth, which can get pretty expensive – it is quite common for mass mailing programs to disallow this for this reason.

Great Question! The ISN now provides you (the User) the ability to upload your own PDF file to the email template! Uploading the PDF file/document automatically creates a link for that document within the email template! Further information and instructions can be found here.
