This guide explains how to back up your existing HomeGauge data and submit it to ISN for conversion.
Note: You must have access to your current HomeGauge installation. Your HomeGauge data will not be altered during the conversion process and will continue to work as usual.
Backing Up Your HomeGauge Data
Important: Make sure the HomeGauge program is closed before copying any files.
Step 1: Open the Start Menu on your computer.
Step 2: Go to Documents.
Step 3: Double-click the HomeGauge folder.
Step 4: Double-click the Templates folder.
Step 5: Locate the files ending in .ht5. Each file represents one of your templates.
Locate the template you want to import into ISN and save a copy in an easy-to-find location. This will make it simple to attach and share when you request the template import in the next step.
Note: You may see additional folders such as Residential or Commercial. Check these folders for more templates.
Submitting Your Templates for Conversion
Once you have your template files:
Compose a new email addressed to help@inspectionsupport.com.
Attach the .ht5 template files.
Include your Company Key (CK).
OR
Log in to your ISN system and open a new chat using the chat icon on the right-hand side.
Start a new conversation.
Use the paperclip icon to attach your .ht5 template files.
Request the data upload.
Our team will import your templates and notify you via the same method you used (chat or email).
