FAQ and Facts about the ISN / Porch Integration

Here are the most frequently asked questions about the Porch integration:

How do I get a hold of / contact  Porch?
 You can reach Porch for general questions by email at inspectors@porch.com

For other ways to reach Porch, see questions below to help direct you to the

needed contacts. 

 Has my data been sold?
No, your information has not been sold.

Has my data been shared?
No, your information has not been shared in any way.

 I want to use the Porch Integration, what information is shared with Porch?
If you use the Porch integration the client’s name, address, date/time of inspection and phone numbers are shared as part of the program. The data share for the Porch Profile is still being decided and no information has been transferred or shared. Also, Porch Profile information will only be shared if you are using the Porch integration – if you opt out of the Porch Integration your information will not be shared.

 Can I opt out of the Porch Integration?
Yes, click on Settings — Office Settings — Porch – you will see a checkbox to opt out of the program. Here is an article on the process.

 Can I opt a single client out of the Porch Integration?
Yes, when you edit the client you will see a checkbox that says “Disable Porch for this Client.”

 Can I opt out one of my agents from the Porch Integration?
Yes, when you edit the agent you will see a checkbox that says “Disable Porch for this Agent.”

 Can I opt out of specific services at Porch?
Yes, we are working on that process so you can opt out of specific services that Porch produces. As soon as that mechanism is ready we will update you via your ISN.

If I opt out of Porch, do my customers still have control over what they see from Porch?

Yes. Consumers can can still choose to opt in to receive marketing messages, and other information from Porch.

 Why do I have a Porch profile now?
Porch constantly creates and updates profiles as part of their growth, SEO and software strategy. The information they used and are using is publicly available. Porch did NOT use information from ISN since your ISN information has not been shared with them. Chances are you have had a Porch profile for quite some time. Some inspectors have found inaccurate information because of when the information was obtained by Porch in the public space. Thus, we suggest you take ownership of your profile and update it. Or you can email inspectors@porch.com and ask the team to remove it. If you have any questions about the Porch Profile please email inspectors@porch.com or call 1-800-604-2454

 Why does Porch have average job values on my Porch Profile?
Porch has been in the in the business of referring support services to homeowners for several years. Thus, they are able to model the pricing in your markets. We realize that the price maybe inconsistent with your prices. We suggest you update your profile to match the values of your company or have the pricing information removed. The average price did not come from any ISN data or information because no information or data has been shared.

 Do I have to use the Repair Request List?
No, you do not have to use it.

 Can I use the Repair Request List without the Porch Integration?
Yes, you can use the Repair Request List.

 When does the Porch Integration start?
The goal is to start the Integration on Tuesday, September 19th

 Where is my information?
Your information is still and will remain in the secure ISN network. Chris is still in complete direction of the network where your information resides.

 I want to use the Porch Integration, what will be said to my clients when Porch calls?
We will provide a few audio samples of live calls within the next few days for your review.

 I want to use the Porch Integration, what does the email say that is sent to my clients?
We will provide a sample email within the next few days for your review.

Did Porch buy ISN?
Porch has invested in ISN and does have some ownership. The partnership between ISN and Porch allows our inspection company business owners and inspectors to benefit from additional software engineering resources to add and improve ISN features. Specific details about the agreement between the two private companies will remain confidential.

Is Porch is available in Canada?
Not yet! But we do plan to roll the service out to other areas in the future.

Regardless of whether Porch Gold is enabled or not, Clients may interact directly with other Porch Family companies or Porch services and will be able to choose to opt in to sharing their personal information for the purpose of receiving marketing calls or other purposes.
