The AI Comment Helper is an Artificial intelligence tool designed to streamline the process of creating professional and insightful comments within the ISN Report Writer. By leveraging advanced AI technology, the Comment Helper generates context-aware, customizable comments tailored to the specific category and line of the report you are working on. Whether you need a concise summary or a detailed recommendation, this feature saves time and enhances the quality of your reports. With options to fine-tune the title prompt, length, and content, the AI Comment Helper helps you produce polished, consistent comments effortlessly, ensuring efficiency and professionalism in every inspection report.

How to Use the AI Comment Helper

Access the AI Comment Helper

1.-In the Report Writer, click to add a new comment to your report.

2.-Enter a Starting Phrase. Begin with a Descriptive Title:

  • Note: This can be done either on this screen or the screen that comes after you click on the Comment Helper Icon

  • Type a word or phrase (e.g., "well maintained") in the title field. This guides the AI to generate the comment contextually.

  • Avoid repeating the category or line details, as the AI automatically identifies them.

3.-Example Use Case:

  • Your category is Exterior and the line is Grounds, you could title your comment "Well Maintained" to imply the exterior grounds are in good condition.

Click the AI Helper Icon

  • Locate the AI Helper button in the toolbar, usually near the text formatting.

  • Click this button to open the AI Comment Helper interface, where you’ll see options to generate and refine comments.

Customize and Generate Your Comment

  • Default Settings: The AI generates comments up to 75 characters long by default. This is ideal for users who prefer short, concise comments.

  • Enable Longer Comments: If you need a more detailed comment, check the Longer box before clicking Generate.

  • Include Recommendations: For actionable insights, enable the Include Recommendation option. This prompts the AI to add suggestions or next steps to the comment.

  • Generate and Refine: Click Generate to create a comment. If the result doesn’t meet your expectations, modify your title or settings and click Regenerate to produce a new version.

  • Edit as Needed: You can also manually edit the comment directly within the interface for minor tweaks or additional customization.

Preview and Use the Comment

  • Preview Generated Comment: Once the comment is generated, you can preview it in the interface to ensure it meets your needs.

  • Use the Comment: When satisfied, click Use Comment to insert it into your report. This transfers the generated comment to the editing screen for further review or formatting.

Manage Your AI Call Quota

  • Daily Limit: During the Beta phase, each user can make up to 100 AI calls per day. This includes both Generate and Regenerate actions.

  • Tracking Usage: A counter below the Generate button displays your remaining calls for the day.

  • Quota Reset: The daily quota resets automatically at 4 AM ET. If you reach your limit, you’ll need to wait until the next day to continue using the tool.

    • The AI Comment Helper is meant to be a quick and easy way to write professional comments, but your voice and knowledge is what matters most. Ensure the final comment aligns with your report's professional standards and it is accurate based on your experience.
